Mommy Moments - Haircut

mommy moments

This is Yena's current do! My cousin did her braid before we went to mass last sunday! :)

May 3, hubby finally said YES when i told her that Yena badly needs her first ever haircut. As it is the husband who decides when i will have my next hair fixed, it is also same prerogative with her unica hija :) He wants us to maintain our long hairs!

As my officemate shared she spent P600 for her daughter's first haircut at a salon, i opt to have mine the frugal way. MIL did Yena's haircut on a fine sunday afternoon while we're spending quality time with them! :)

And as the old tradition goes, that the first haircut should be kept on books esp the encyclopedia. Yena's oldest cousin, Audrey, had his haircut kept on her mom's encyclopedia, He is the high school valedictorian in our place! So in order not to be left behind, we decided to keep her hair at one of the wittiest invention on earth, LAPTOP. Yes we kept Yena's hair at our Nancy laptop's bag! Giggle. Heheh

On Yena's clothes, toys and shoes

I confess we don't usually buy my daughter clothes and shoes. She grows so fast that the dress or shoes we bought a month ago wouldn't fit sooner than we thought. Oh yes, she has less toys, am strict with regards to that. She has to asked them to have them. I wont deprive her of toys but i wanted to hear from her what she wants so aside from educational CDs and toys we bought, all her toys, clothes and shoes are gifts and hand me downs from friends and cousins. I think its the frugal me talking, hahah.

Ok as an example, her blouse here, she got from her godmother. And her shorts, from her daddy last christmas. The shoes from her cousin Eya.
Her little red dress here from her cousin Eya and that cute doll shoes from me! :) I can't resist buying cute pink shoes actually. I got that shoes for only P125!
I was told Nea's cutey pink sandals would be Yena's soon! Those clothes from her cousins Kathy and Nea would be her's soon too :)
When someone would give Yena hand downs clothes and toys we embrace them, we actually love the thought. So when her ninang liz came last monday with lotsa hand downs clothes and shoes it was another treat! She love the dress and kept on saying NO to the jeans. So funny now cause she prefers dress rather than jeans, hahah. I have to post those pretty gifts from her ninang liz soon!

Mommy Moments - Grandparents Bonding Moment

mommy moments

It was an extensive search for the grandparents photos with Yena. As i noticed that mostly, Yena have photos with both the grandmothers :) So for the moment, i am posting here the photos of the grandparents which i have pulled from my historical picture folder. :)

This is my mother and father, our picture taken Christmas Eve of 2005.

Our family picture with my MIL and FIL at Ternate, April 2009.
Husband's mother, my MIL whom Yena called 'mamato' is where Yena got her mestisa side. She has an spanish blood. Yena's greatgrandmother was spanish.
My mother's father was also of spanish descent. Some of my cousins are mestisa and good looking, i know i got the filipino side - morena. Heheh. Yena calls my mother 'lola'.
When my husband and i are at work, Yena's lola takes care of her. When her 'lola' has an important appointment her 'mamato' takes charge! Suffice to say Yena is so close to her grandmothers!

Little Happy Note of Love

I have a habit of printing a little message of happy note to someone celebrating his or her birthdays or very special occasions. When husband celebrated his birthday last month, I had his happy birthday note printed on black and white. Of course I don’t have any choice, I have no printer yet at home so just to save a little ink at office. But my husband cannot be anymore happier upon seeing his daughter’s smiling face on the note I pasted on our refrigerator.

By chance, an old friend who saw it at my house loved the idea. Thus asked me where to purchase the cheapest ink cartridges as she is planning to also do a little surprise of happy note to her husband. I told her about the website on where to find Cheap HP Ink Cartridge an officemate told me. See what a little note of love can do? Am glad I can pass that little gesture of love to someone, and happy I can help her add a little spice to her married life.

Heal yourself with Oxy Silver

Of all the things I get worried too much is when my daughter Yena is sick. I feel the pain doubly when I hear her in pain. Guarding her from all diseases is an impossible task to do but that is my ultimate hope. I just want to protect her from all the dangers this world can bring and to safeguard her from all illnesses.

It has been a common concern for us parents of our children and families health. It is a desire for each individual to live happily and healthily. As ardent as I am in searching for the best medicine that could help me protect my family, I learned about Oxy silver.

Oxy silver was invented by NASA in order to keep the Astronauts healthy. While silver kills all pathogens like bacteria, viruses and mutant cells there are also certain silver that has been shown to generate STEM CELLS! Oxy Silver is the lone product available to the public using NASA's Electro-Silver Hyrdosol production method. Silver hydrosols, in general, are superior powerful broad spectrum anti-microbials. They have been scientifically proven safe, effective, and life-saving in hospitals and health clinics when used sparingly according to health and environmentally-conscious recommendations.

Oxy silver instantly works through spraying, gargling or a little dabbing. A little spray in your nostrils when you have a stuffy nose and a little dab in your ear when you have ear ache; your stuffy nose and ear infections will be gone quickly. Even sore throat will be gone in just few minutes just by gargling a little of oxy silver. Beyond a doubt, it is not cheap but it can treat virtually any illness.

Therefore it is a must for every survival medicine chest to keep one bottle of oxy silver. If you are tired of taking medicines that makes you take even more medicine, that makes holes in your pockets and more headaches because of their high prices, Buy Oxy Silver Now!

Sunday Pictures with Cousins

Yena was not feeling well last sunday, she has on and off fever since saturday. During the mass last sunday, i was whispering to her to smile and get well, thats all i asked of her and it will be her mother's day gift to me, surprisingly she was back to her normal active self after the mass. See how my daughter grants my wish. :) She was willingly posing for this pictures after the mass..

Yena at the middle, she has lots of cousins from husband's side, and she is the youngest..Every meeting time with the cousins means hugging and kissing.. They all love her!

What i love about my in laws is that, every sunday morning is spending time with God. All the families, couples and children are there to attend the mass. This sunday, everybody has tears in their eyes as we greeted each mother a happy mother's day. My MIL was crying happily all the time.. :)

Easy as Sunday Morning

My husband and daughter plus nephew and niece after the sunday mass :)

Sunday has always been busy day for my family. It will always be the day of going to church, and it has been a must to do. My husband doesn’t fail to surprise me, coz for times when I feel so tired going to church he would tell me that serving God should never be tiring. How can you resist attending and celebrating God’s day when all has been given to you in each right place? That is my husband talking can you believe it? I have a very god-fearing husband, if I may add.

I have a catholic friend who turns out to be a Christian now. She has been very religious and for time would ask me to join them on their Sunday fellowships. As conflict of schedule arises I just cannot get a chance, but I would love too. Meeting Christian is like meeting a new happy and content person in real life. They have all the nice things to say, and I think that is a plus for making friends.

Well on this Sunday, I have to remind her to try this christian chat that for sure she would give a try. I have known her for being so friendly, and this Christian city chat room would be her way to acquire more Christian friends all over the globe. Plus it is 100% free to join; oh I can imagine her sweet smile now!

Mommy Moments - Doctor Doctor Am i Sick?

mommy moments
These are the photos when our daughter Yena was hospitalized last Sept 28, 2008. She has unusual rashes all over her body. We thought it was Dengue so we rushed to the ER of De La Salle. Since her pedia wasn't available we were told that she need to be admitted and wait for next day.

She was all smiles at the ER. She cries when sick and wants to be always carried by her daddy but she is still the happy baby that she is..

And then for the next few hours, she wailed loudly while the nurses were trying to put her an IV/dextrose. Husband and i couldn't stand it anymore so we talked to the doctor in charge if we can spare her the pain of that IV, he told us to sign the waiver, and i did!
Yena was diagnosed with Viral Exanthem but it was not that serious her pedia said. We went out of the hospital after 3 days.
