Mommy Moments - Haircut

mommy moments

This is Yena's current do! My cousin did her braid before we went to mass last sunday! :)

May 3, hubby finally said YES when i told her that Yena badly needs her first ever haircut. As it is the husband who decides when i will have my next hair fixed, it is also same prerogative with her unica hija :) He wants us to maintain our long hairs!

As my officemate shared she spent P600 for her daughter's first haircut at a salon, i opt to have mine the frugal way. MIL did Yena's haircut on a fine sunday afternoon while we're spending quality time with them! :)

And as the old tradition goes, that the first haircut should be kept on books esp the encyclopedia. Yena's oldest cousin, Audrey, had his haircut kept on her mom's encyclopedia, He is the high school valedictorian in our place! So in order not to be left behind, we decided to keep her hair at one of the wittiest invention on earth, LAPTOP. Yes we kept Yena's hair at our Nancy laptop's bag! Giggle. Heheh

i think i kept some of Toby's hair but not Kyla's... anyway, I was the one doing Kyla's first few hair cuts and only went to the parlor at age 2+... as for Toby, he had so few hair and when he was 1.6 years old did we go to the parlor too :)

I heard about that superstition. My dad also kept my princess' hair in between the pages of our old forgotten encyclopedia...lol!

Yena looks so grown-up in the first picture. My son had his first haircut when he was 1 year old, but I would occasionally trim his hair until I accidentally hurt his ear. I never touched his hair again after that incident.
