Toy Hunt - Farm Animal Toy

This is Yena's Mr. Cow, a birthday gift from one of her godmother on her birthday. We used to aske yena everytime to point the nose of her toys, she got confused with Mr Cow coz he has no nose to pick on to. But he has big eyes, so she's picking on his eyes instead!

It shall pass for a farm animal, ayt? :)

On the Spot Treatment to Colic Problems

For one thing I am most thankful about from the day we moved in to my in laws house was my Mother in Law’s tender loving care to my baby. I am a first timer to everything regarding motherhood so having her around is such a great relief.

My daughter is a very easy baby to take care of and she is always a happy one. I’m talking about how easy she is, coz every night when I put her to bed, as soon as I turn off the lights, put her sleeping song on and feed her, she knew from then on she should be sleeping. I had no problem with her except when she was suffering from colic. She would cry vigorously for hours that brought me to tears too. She was being fussy and irritable. That moment I surrendered to my MIL everything coz I don’t know what else to do. My MIL would put oils on her tummy, let her do her bowel and then after an hour or two she would be all right.

Now there is a brand tried and tested for instant colic relief that I should tell my MIL. This colic calm has been applauded all over the globe and is said to be safe, natural and 90% effective, a very outstanding product for babies with bloating, pressure, stomach cramps, hiccups, teething and even acid reflux problems. I learned that homeopathy has been used for over 200 years for safe treatment of immature digestive and nervous system of the babies. There is only one liquid formula available in the market that offers homeopathic remedy and that is colic calm gripe water that works wonder on ‘as needed’ basis, good bye to reflux, gas and colic problems! Say hello to Colic Calm!

Shopping resembling the Obama style

On inauguration day of the new president of the United States of America, Barack Obama with his wife Michelle greeted the crowds awaiting with supreme fashion i have been anticipating. You see i check on online news every time, not about anything else but their fashion sense.

With great admiration i wonder, who dress the Obamas? Purposely i wanted to know who dress the two lovely girls, Sasha and Malia. It has been hunting me for sometime now so i started digging the internet for the answer. I wanted something similar to their clothes.

Then i find www.shop.com an online shop with best deals of clothes akin to the Obama's. Surprisingly this website offers also free music CD's that you can buy on sale! There are lots of clothings, shoes, bags, electronic gadgets, furnitures, beauty produsts and best gifts of the season that is on FREE SHIPPING! The best deal now is that they are on clearance sale, plus if you join in their cool cart me away shopping game you can bring home the grand prize my husband has been dreaming for sometime now - a very gigantic 50" plasma tv!

Head on now to www.shop.com and see what i'm talking about! :)

Kikamz equally adorable baby, Sam, tagged my dear Yena with this Next Birthday Tag. I know Yena had just finished her birthday celebration, but who says it's this early to wish for her 2nd birthday next year?! :)

On Yena's second birthday, here are my wishes for her..

1. I wish that she will be a very good toddler who knows when to say - yes please and no thank you - all the time.
2. I wish for longer life for her grandparents.
3. I wish also for good health for everybody in the family.
4. I wish for a vacation in aklan, iloilo or negros just so relatives can get to meet the young yena.
5. I wish that she can hum or sing a song already, and that she can already join me and her dad and the rest of the choir on our 9am mass service.
6. I wish that my parents can spend their time with yena on her 2nd birthday.
7. I'm wishing for educational toys as her birthday gift, and also that portable dvd i've been eyeing sometime ago, this time for her dora, spongebob and barney's cd- - her movie time!
8. I wish that she receive lots of books too for our bedtime story telling time.
9. I wish that on her 2nd birthday, the day would be a treat not only for her cousins but also for the neighborhood kids, this time lots of loot bags for everybody. ;)

Happy weekend everyone!

Thank's God it's Friday coz that could only mean- weekends of fun tomorrow Yeeey! I don't think it would be fun for Yena though, coz we will be going to see her pedia tomorrow for her chicken pox vaccine. I was telling hub if we can postpone, silly me it has been postponed already. The vaccine was scheduled on her first birthday, but I just can't stand seeing her cry after every vaccine session. :(

On the afternoon will be husband's visit to his dentist for his long due tooth extraction. So i will be tending to my two babies on the weekends, Wohohoh! That is much tiring than an 8 hour job but who's complaining?? I'm not!

I hope i can blog hop later tonight after husband and i are done with our laundry, coz if not i will be seeing you guyz tomorrow when my babies are resting.. :)

And by the way, Yena has a new trick now called 'Diyosa', i will try to capture and post it here coz that trick is really really funny!! I can't wait to go home now to see her do that trick again.. hehehe

So I got to go and see you when i see you all on weekends!
Keep safe and take care always!

First Birthday Pictures

Fresh from the church photo with Tita Fairy, hubby's younger sister.

Foods, gifts and give aways for the kids...

Clapping her hands with excitement here with her granny, my MIL.

The birthday girl entertaining the guests with her 'so sexy' dance steps..

Ahem, am doing the honor of blowing her cake.. Next year would be her turn to do that for sure!

I know she doesnt like the presence of the clowns, but she did her part, she behaved well and didnt fuss at the party.

So this were the kids and the young at heart posing right after the party, i have to say the other kids who were afraid of the clowns were not included here. And there were lots of them hiding in their mom's skirts.. heheh

The celebrant failed to said goodbye to her guests.. That was one long day and it was already her nap time... she was off to ozzzlandia already! :)

Baptism Pictures

Yena's baptism was also the Feast Day of the Sto Nino, so all the while i thought there will be lots of tots for baptism that same day. So right after the mass, we hurried back to the church in a swift. Luckily there were only ten of them in line for baptism so i knew that the ceremony would be quick. The seminar which took about 30 minutes was followed by the 20 minutes baptism ritual.

The ritual started with the parents making the sign of the cross at the forehead, then followed by the godparents..

Then the pouring of the Holy Water...

Followed by the Holy Oil..

Putting on of the white hat right after..

And finally, lighting of the candles while praying the Lord's Prayer.

Oh yeah.. lots of picture taking too!

The Night Before the Big Day

Caught in the act playing with his cousin and showing her ever energetic side...

I prepared three gowns for her big day, the white one for her baptism and the other two for the reception.

Posing with her dress..

Showing what she does best all the time - POUTING!

First Year Milestones

Aside from primly holding her crackers, Yena before turning one year old is always a shocker for me with this ten milestones..

1. Waves back when you asked her to 'SAY HI!'
2. Looks up or around the ceiling when you asked her, "where is the lizard?!
3. Gives a quick loud smack on the lips when asked for a kiss..
4. Dances every time she hears a music
5. Entertains people with her continuous tricks; Chikading dance, pout, count, clap, flying kiss..
6. Nods when told to say YES and swing her head left and right to say NO.
7. Eager to walk alone, was able to walk on her own with just one step 5 days ago ;)
8. You have to let her out of the room after dressing her up, coz if not it will be a disaster.. She wants to be always on the go!
9. Direct her to something she doesn't like and you will hear lots of murmuring already!
10. Can speak PAPA and MAMA, calls spongebob ABAB and shouts MAMAM when thirsty :D

Yena's First Ever Awards for 2009

I just couldn't stop myself from posting this, as these are Yena's first ever awards at blogosphere this year.. hahah. Thanks so much to smart baby Sam and her pretty mom Kikamz for granting yena this very special award of the season! :) You both always make my day with your sincerest comments and very sweet messages.. I've been inspired to blog more because of you people.

Thank you! Thank you. :D

Preparation for Yena's Big day!

Two weeks to go and it will be Yena's BIG Day already! On the 18th will be her first birthday and baptism, so i just couldnt make time to blog hop, as much as i would love to, apology to my blogging friends, i will make it up to all of you promise!! :)

Now is the time to prepare, arrange and finalize everything.. Last friday, my cousin and i went to divisoria for her birthday souvenirs. Where everthing is cheaper, i found her three favorite cartoon characters that is also the theme of the party.

Specially designed cakes at Goldilocks are way very expensive, a simple one will cost about Php2,000. And because i am working on our budget heheh and I am a frugal wife LOL, i told myself i can make arrangements so i just ordered their biggest chocolate cake that cost P675 and will just redecorate it on the big day.. This cute barney, spongebob ang dora will be on top of her cake! :)

For her souvenirs, the guests just have to choose from these three..

And her very adorable invitation made by her Ninang Umma..

I have to go now to have it printed and will be doing the rounds of giving the invites. Ciao!!

Herpangina and my Yena

Last week, yena had a day of decreased appetite, a day only thank God. I got worried early monday morning when she didn't want to be fed. She cried for no reason and she was droooling excessively. Just as hubby was at work at that monday morning, i asked my mother to accompany us to her Pedia.
Look at her, still smiling! ;) Blisters would not make her frown on photos, atta girl!
Her pedia said she has herpangina or mouth blisters, it was painful for a baby so they dont want to eat, fluid intake would help so i was advised to give her lots of water if she resist her milk. There was no prescribed antibiotics for blisters, so to ease her pain i was told to buy her a mouth spray, that was so effective. The next day she was back to her voracious self and said GOODBYE BLISTERS!! :D hahahah

Here are some of her photos at her pedia.. She just cant help playing..

Reaching and enjoying every toy she could take a grab!!
