Spend More Time with Your Kids
While it may seem like your little ones will be tiny forever, they'll actually be grown before you know it. Many parents become so bogged down with day-to-day life and just getting by that they don't spend the amount of quality time that they would like with their children. Before they know it, another birthday has come and gone.
Spending more time with your kids can be easier said than done. After all, the bills have to be paid, the meals have to be cooked, and the clothes have to be washed. However, little time savers can add up to several extra hours each week.
Online shopping can save a lot of time. If you're a careful shopper, you can find better bargains than in some brick and mortar stores, plus have your items delivered right to your door. Be careful about shipping costs, though. Sometimes, the amount charged to ship an item can outweigh any savings. Of course, some things like buying car insurance online and banking online can save both time and money with no shipping fees.
In addition to saving time by simplifying meal plans, you can have your children help you prepare lunch or dinner. Believe it or not, most kids love to help out in the kitchen. They get to spend more time with mom and dad while indulging in a little creativity. Allowing your children to get involved with their food choices is also a great way to teach healthy eating habits that will last a lifetime.
If you spend every waking moment trying to keep a spotless house, relax a little bit. Some moms are surprised when their child adds “cleaning” to their list of mom's favorite activities when they make their first Mother's Day card in school. Sometimes, clean enough is ok.
