This is the most recent picture of Yena and i. this was taken this morning right after our mass service. Yena sings with me during the mass while husband plays the guitar. She knows how to sing Papuri sa Diyos and Alleluia (note: on alto tone). We share on one microphone already =)

Yena knows how to pose every time cami is around. And the japan pose is always there.. Still praying hard that she grows up to be a good girl and god-fearing, i won't ask for anything more.

Mommy Mahal Kita!

Mahal kong anak,

Yena kong mahal, hindi mo lang alam kung gaano mo ako pinapasaya sa tuwing sinasabi mong 'mommy mahal kita, miss kita!' tuwing darating ako galing trabaho. Pilit kong hinahanda ang sarili ko sa lahat ng bagay pero sa biglang pagsabi mo sa akin ng mga salitang yun kagabi, hindi pala ako magiging handa EVER! Napakasarap sa pakiramdam anak! Tulad ngayon habang tumitipa ako ng sulat kong ito, nasa likuran kita at yakap yakap mo ako paulit ulit na sinasabing mahal mo ako at namiss. Tinatawag mo ko at nagkukwento ng kung anu ano sori kung ang atensyon ko ay sa pagsusulat ngayon. Gusto ko lang magpasalamat sa Diyos na binigay ka sa akin, sa amin ng daddy mo. Araw araw nagmamadali akong umuwi para lang makasama ka na. Marinig ang kadaldalan mo, mayakap ka at mahagkan at di na pakawalan pa.

Ayan naiiyak na ang mommy. Basta paglaki mo at nababasa mo na 'to tandaan mo lagi kung gano kita mahal anak. Sobra sobra. Higit pa sa buhay ko. O yan magbasa na tayo ng libro mo! Wag mo ko tanungin kung bakit ako umiiyak ok? Di ko sasabihin! ^_^

O eto nga pala ang picture niyo ni Ate Eya mo nung nakaraang gabing pose ka ng pose! Maarte ka anak tulad ko... hahahah.

Yena is Agua

Yena's new name is AGUA (from Agua Bendita). She always insist that we call her that name.. She is Agua, her cousin Eya is Bendita and her cousin Yael is Ronnie. I don't watch that teleserye but since my mother is hooked and certified Kapamilya, Yena is the number one fan of that network too. Sometimes she asked for wowowee at 7pm! Que horror. My mother has to remind her that wowowee is only shown in the afternoon.

The Real Agua Bendita

Last holy week, when there's an Agua Bendita marathon, yena watched it and she loves the little agua bendita, the dolphin and the sea. She loves water so she somehow relates to Agua. Sometimes i fear of the times she imitates Bendita though, she is already snob as she is.

My Little Helper

I have a little helper at home. It is such a treat to see my daughter folding clothes with me and keeping them in the cabinet. She loves to sweep the floor too. The slippers should not be left at the door, she wants them under the chair near the door. Closing the door, turning on the electric fan, turning on and off the lights at the bathroom is her favorite duty at home. She keeps the shoes at the shoe rack in order too. She isn’t messy when in the mood. But when in bad mood, her toys would be all over the house. Hahah.

Last night, while having dinner she told me. ‘Mommy bilhan kita RC kay nanay’ (Mommy, I will buy you RC to Grandmother) My mother has a little store near our house, by the way. I told her I still have coke in the fridge but she insisted. I gave her the money and she went back with the RC and a smile on her face. She is just two but she acts like four! She was talking a lot while I was eating. Asking me where her daddy is. And when I told her, daddy is still at work. She answers with baket nasa office pa?

Now is the start of the WHYs and I have to prepare myself for ANSWERS! ;)

What’s your name?

At 20 months old Yena would reply to that question with YENAPOT. But before she turned two, she can speak her whole name every time you pop her that question. Here’s her video with her daddy answering every questions thrown at her.

She has a slight fever last night when we got home. But she is still very talkative. She woke up early this morning – talking about blue’s clues, her toys and everything else. She doesn’t stop. I thought I won’t be able to report to work today. When will I master going to work when my child is sick? It’s hard. I shall be going home early today!

The Little Parrot

Last night, the little parrot attacked. She was talking nonstop again. I did my grocery time last night and when I arrived home, she has been asking me of her ‘pasalubong’. And she wanted something particular, her Minute Maid Mango Orange juice.

(This was the other night, she was laughing while calling herself KULOT and asked me to take her pictures)

When I arranged all my grocery items and had to step on a chair, she told me – ‘mommy baba dyan, laglag ka dyan, iyak ka sige’ oh I had to laugh. My daughter talks a lot and it never ends once it starts.

While watching TV, she saw a baby and told me.. ‘mommy wawa baby oh!’ and get her crab stuff toy and acted like a mommy while saying ‘tong tong sleep na, kumot ka’ And then once in a while would sing, dance and imitates the commercial on TV.

I have been telling her that we will have a date on her 2nd birthday on Friday and she would smile widely and would put her hands on her mouth modestly. And I have to wish she stays this way longer.. She is growing up sooo fast!

Mommy Moments - Yum! Yum!

Am so glad to be back at MM! :) This friday's theme is entitled YUMMY. And i have to share how voracious eater my 22 months toddler is. Every food she sees are all yummy to her. Ask her if she has eaten already and she would reply with a quick 'hindi pa" everytime all the time even if she has just finish her meal!

Chuckie is her favorite chocolate drink. Chuckie, chocolates and Jelly Ace Lychee are must haves in our refrigerator. She always knocks at the ref everytime she feels like eating, and that seems like everytime :D

And she eats crackers with poise!

She consumes 5 bottles of 7oz milk a day but the pedia says it should be reduced to 3 since she eats a bowl of rice three times a day already. This has been a sacrifice to all of us, at night time she cries every after two hours and asks for milk but we have to pretend we are sleeping. The little girl is on diet since saturday and am glad that she is doing good with two bottles a night already..

That was her last saturday! Pretending something's YUMMY!

Mommy Moments - Precious Gift

Today's theme for mommy moment is about any precious gift from our child. Yena has not given me anything if a precious gift means any material thing. But from all the gift i have received in my entire life, i have been and will always be grateful for this little gift i kept inside my tummy for nine colorful months, the gift that rocks my tummy whenever she wanted to (ex: see photo below) and that same gift from Above that makes me a complete person.

I would be thrilled to receive any gift from my daughter in the near future, but she is already the GIFT i have been wanting.. She is enough gift and i am soooo blessed to have her in my life.

How i wish..

i see you always running..

OR sitting pretty after a tiring day..

OR just making faces when i ask you to smile..

How i wish you can also run away from sickness..

How i wish that you and i will always be sitting at the top of a mountain like Mt Tapias, just relaxing and making happy faces together..

I just wish that a little minutes before i went home today..

Caught Counting!

Oh, boy! I finally captured my 21 months old daughter counting from one to ten last night! :) She learned how to count when she was 19 months old but she mastered detailing them "clearly" at 20 months. She can also count in tagalog (isa hanggang sampu!). And boy, she sings bahay kubo, pakitong kitong and a whole lot barney's songs! :)

That was her second set of enumerating one to ten so she seemed irritated, but she is always like that when she sensed that am capturing her every move.

Mommy Moments - A day in the Mall

Here's my share for Mommy Moments - A day in the Mall theme. It has been two consecutive saturdays that my sister and I brought along our kids at the mall for a little stroll.. But the kids' main agenda is this ride..

While we adults mostly are at the mall for window shopping, we have our kids as a subject of our photography.. You can see how my little daughter is acting up at this photo below.. Yes she is like that in person, she is simply snobbish sometimes..
But when it's basketball time, she is really really game! :)

Pretty Dress from Tita Kat

When kat, gave this dress to yena last saturday, all Yena had for a reply was a harsh AYAW instead of tenchu. Ayaw is yena's favorite word lately. Sadly. But when kat, went with ghie after a couple of minutes, we tried this dress on and Yena loves it that she even asked me for a little stroll out of the house.

So this sunday, this was Yena's getup.. The pretty dress from Tita Kat and that famed havaianas slippers from Tita Clang.. Thank you so much for the gifts two lovely people of the blogniverse! :)

All these pictures you are about to see are the result of that typhoon ondoy. Luckily, we were trapped on our flood less home and what we 'worked' on during those nonstop rains were our dripping kitchen and drenched windows.

While watching dvds Yena get my digicam cami and wanted some photos, so here are the rains of photo of my husband and daughter..

Mommy Moments - Hat Day

For this friday theme, i hunt from old photos of my daughter coz i don't remember her wearing hat. :) I can't be any happier when i found a few ihhhhh :)

One thing that my daughter hates are those things i put on her head, and that includes HAT. She only wears them when i tell her we are going out, she loves hearing LET's GO so she would wear them for a few moment :)

Brushing my Teeth

I introduced brushing to Yena when she was 15 months old, i guess that's a little bit late but that's when she showed real interest on brushing. I showed her her toothbrush way before her first birthday, but she kept on brushing things, the poor toothbrush accumulates dirt :D

At 18 months, she would ask for her toothbrush when she saw me or husband brushing our teeth. She would say tuu brush (tooth brush) and tuu pays (tooth paste) over and over again until you give her what she wants.
