Yena's 7th Birthday

We started prepping up for yena's 7th birthday last week of december. I know that's a bit late, but since i have all the contacts of suppliers/party needs i think the time frame is kinda ok. My blogging friend Kaye, helped me with the design of her tarpaulin and invitation cards;

The kids had so much fun and most of all the birthday girl was so happy. She enjoyed the messages from friends/ relatives on her 7 balloons, 7 candles and  7 gifts. On the 7 roses, his daddy lifted her while they dance. That was one heartfelt moment we will treasure forever. 

She shared what she wished before blowing the candle and said, she wants her 8th bjrthday to be as grand as her 7th.

Yena's first cellphone

Husband had to buy a new phone since he gave me his iphone (coz i lost mine last October) and since the postpaid plan from Globe has a free Huawei cellphone we gave it to Yena. Coz she has been asking for a touchscreen phone to play pou or candy crush. 

Though she cannot bring it at school, she uses it to send SMS to her daddy and me when at home. Plus she finally had her facebook account, since she loves to click like to her cousins pictures at facebook. Oh, at six she is really growing bigger everyday.

We are three

First Dental Checkup

I brought yena and yani to their first ever dental appointment this afternoon. I thought yena should be ready for this since she's already six. The dentist said she has some milk teeth and some permanent teeth in front. What's needed was some cleaning and pasta for her two front teeth. 

Proud that she's behaved and excited to all the dentist was telling her. It was a nice experience and she said she wants to go back again for another appointment after six months. 

Yena's 6th Birthday

On yena's 6th birthday, we surpised her a lunch treat at home and spent a weekend at La Traviesa Hotel and Resort with her ninangs (friends from college) and their kids. We all had so much fun!

6 Lovely Years

Dearest ate aru, 

Six years ago at 841pm our first miracle came to life. It was the night of the first of many firsts. I knew it wasnt an ordinary day since my OB said i would have to be admitted. You were just 37weeks and 2days in my womb, you are excited to go out. And we feel the same way too. The pain turned out to be the sweetest when i finally saw you. Sweet little baby who turned out to be the pretty little girl who loves food. 

Now you eat like 16years old! You act and talk like 18years old and you sometimes act like you're older than me. I wonder if we make you grow up fast when we enrolled you in grade one but you are doing good in school. As i have told you before, do your best always and God will dp the rest. And when you have to choose between being right and kind, always choose to be kind. Just like what you are to your sister Yani. You are kond and sweer ate every kid would wish for. I have said it then and i will say it again, you are the barbie doll i have wished for when i was eight. But you are waaaaay more than a doll coz you're real. Real in so many ways that i thank the Lord for giving you to us just as you are. I love you ate. No matter what i will always be behind you.

Reward time at Wonderland

As a reward for yena's straight A's on her report card for the third grading period, we brought her to her requested place, Wonderland at SM Dasmarinas. She wanted to bring along her sister Yani. It was a short stay but they enjoyed it to the fullest. 

She overheard me while i was talking to the staff and when asked about her age, she quickly replied, "5 turning 6 in a few days!"
