Mommy Moments - Precious Gift

mommy moments
Today's theme for mommy moment is about any precious gift from our child. Yena has not given me anything if a precious gift means any material thing. But from all the gift i have received in my entire life, i have been and will always be grateful for this little gift i kept inside my tummy for nine colorful months, the gift that rocks my tummy whenever she wanted to (ex: see photo below) and that same gift from Above that makes me a complete person.

I would be thrilled to receive any gift from my daughter in the near future, but she is already the GIFT i have been wanting.. She is enough gift and i am soooo blessed to have her in my life.

How i wish..

i see you always running..
OR sitting pretty after a tiring day..
OR just making faces when i ask you to smile..
How i wish you can also run away from sickness..

How i wish that you and i will always be sitting at the top of a mountain like Mt Tapias, just relaxing and making happy faces together..

I just wish that a little minutes before i went home today..

YOU ARE WELL.

Spending a little on something so big!

Weekends for my little family mean bonding time in front of my beloved laptop. My daughter loves barney, spongebob and dora so much she can watch her cds all day! On the other hand, my husband became addicted to movies when we got married. He can watch all greek mythologies and the likes all day long. I am not complaining though, giving them some time to watch their favorites give me some quality time for myself, which is reading or doing the usual house chores. It’s chaotic to see us every weekend especially if my daughter would like to watch barneys and the husband would watch his dvds too.

Ondemand

Now I want to pull the holiday season immediately. It gives me the reason to buy that most sought after LCD TV, and I have been promising husband we would get charter that offers over 6,000 movies and shows we could watch anytime we would want to. I am so excited to see one of my favorite heroes shows, that even If I miss one episode I could watch it the next day on charter for free! Now I can’t stop dreaming every time I get updates and fun extras on Charter’s Facebook page. Charter digital is really On Demand! You can learn more at charter.net/ondemand and I know you will agree that they really rock!

I know I have to wait for the Christmas season to enjoy this wonders.. If only I can pull December instantly.

Tantrums! Tantrums!

mommy moments

I have my share of yena's tantrum moments where she would cry while babbling something that i find hard to understand. Most of the time i try to talk to her calmly and spell out what she has been wanting. At times when it's too much to handle, i call her daddy.. That's always my last option, when she hears the word 'daddy' she knows she has to behave. Don't get me wrong, they are both close to the bones, they are the best buddies but there is something about my husband that tames her all the time.

One good example of her tantrum moment is the photo below. She has been asking me to dip into the water again for the nth time, while i was asking her to pose first..
Instead of posing, she cried! This photo was at 91 Beach in Coron Palawan. When we reached Kayangan Lake an hour later, she asked me to take her pictures while posing endlessly. So this is the result!

Caught Counting!

Oh, boy! I finally captured my 21 months old daughter counting from one to ten last night! :) She learned how to count when she was 19 months old but she mastered detailing them "clearly" at 20 months. She can also count in tagalog (isa hanggang sampu!). And boy, she sings bahay kubo, pakitong kitong and a whole lot barney's songs! :)

That was her second set of enumerating one to ten so she seemed irritated, but she is always like that when she sensed that am capturing her every move.

How about you? When did your child started to count?

The Yena Eras Show

The following pictures of my 21 months old daughter Yena was taken while we were waiting at the boat at Cayangan Lake in Coron Palawan. Out of the blue, she asked me to get my camera out with a babble of words like these, mommy pichure, mommy pichure :)

When i gave in to her request, these are the result of her posing like a model!
Seriously..
I don't know where in the world she saw that pose! I won't dare do that.. LOL
A pose with her stage-father..
Doing the hula dance here maybe..
Aint no hollaback girl..
And who says model don't eat??

Happy Memories :)

Yena calls me MOMMY and calls my sister MAMA. She calls my Mother in Law MAMATO and calls my mother NANAY. Lucky child to call 4 ladies as her mother :)

Now here's yena's cousins whom she spends the whole day playing at home. Yael and Eya are my sister's children.. They play and they pout together! See?! :)
They live next to our house. They look like siblings when they are together. They hug and kiss each other and then fight and cry for some toys.. They make up and hug each other again.. And yes, that's my only sister Aya with our kids..
I have two siblings, the youngest is a hopeless rapper. Aya and my youngest brother fights all the time, they love each other that much. I can see our children's little love fights to them.. My sister is very disciplinarian, while i am a self confessed spoiler of the family:D
Lately, we love to spend our saturdays at the mall. Our kids love arcade games and my sister is very addicted to playing basketball at the mall too.
While i am very addicted to capturing all our happy memories together..

Off to Palawan!

My husband, daughter, my godmother and ghie’s siblings will be heading to Palawan this morning for our three days vacation. This trip was planned since May and I couldn’t believe that I am writing this now, is it October 17 already? LOLThis trip is supposed to be for husband and I’s second wedding anniversary. BUT since it is a week before our actual wedding date, I am thinking of our ‘solo’ celebration somewhere in Tagaytay. If we can leave our daughter for one night, if not it will be another family affair I am looking forward to. ;)

Anyways, I should be going. This is supposed to be a rest from all that is giving me stress (work and blogging, LOL) but I will be bringing my laptop just in case I find time to drop EC and adgitize.

Please help us pray for a nice weather! :) Thank you so much for dropping by. Have a great weekend!

ps:
And yes, my 5 blogs has the same entry for today. And your guess is right, this is a scheduled post! :)

Flying tomorrow!

I don’t like to admit, but tomorrow is my first time to ride an airplane. It will be my 21 month’s old daughter’s first time too! We will be singing Barney’s song of – “oh we are flying in an airplane, looking at the window, watching the clouds go by”. I have been singing that song nonstop and I feel like a fool today. Might be am so scared of flying or it’s just those butterflies in my stomach excited to take their wings too. I worry also of thinking that there is a threat of another typhoon tomorrow! How could a typhoon possibly choose weekends for coming over our country?!

Anyways, my dilemma of bringing my laptop Nancy tomorrow has come to its final conclusion. I will bring her! There is a free wifi at our accommodation, which I am very thankful for! I wonder if they get their wireless adapter from Newegg promotion code but having an internet connection while on vacation is a plus factor for a blogging addict like me!

Now ask me if I am ready to fly tomorrow, and I would beam with pride that even if I don’t feel very well since yesterday, I manage to prepare all three bags full of our must haves! Thus we will be flying tomorrow by hook or by crook! Wish us well please.

Mommy Moments - A day in the Mall

mommy moments

Here's my share for Mommy Moments - A day in the Mall theme. It has been two consecutive saturdays that my sister and I brought along our kids at the mall for a little stroll.. But the kids' main agenda is this ride..
While we adults mostly are at the mall for window shopping, we have our kids as a subject of our photography.. You can see how my little daughter is acting up at this photo below.. Yes she is like that in person, she is simply snobbish sometimes..
But when it's basketball time, she is really really game! :)

Yelena Hayden's Latest Video

Yena loves riding at this lavender thingy that she cried after her five minutes allotted time. This is also the main reason why we are a sight at the mall every saturday!

Motortown charges Php25 for 5 minutes of use of this lovely lavender thing. It makes me wish there is also a ride for me!

Yena's New Playmate

We went home last friday night with this 'special cow' for yena. Imagine my delight when i saw this at Waltermart, i pleaded hubby to buy this and picture yena's smile of joy when she get to see this. He gave in! :)
So upon arriving home, we placed the red cow at the door and planned of surprising the little queen of the house for a new playmate..
Boy she was really happy. Her smile was priceless. Pure joy and she loves Red Cow the moment she saw it..
They even made fun of its horns! LOL

Pretty Dress from Tita Kat

When kat, gave this dress to yena last saturday, all Yena had for a reply was a harsh AYAW instead of tenchu. Ayaw is yena's favorite word lately. Sadly. But when kat, went with ghie after a couple of minutes, we tried this dress on and Yena loves it that she even asked me for a little stroll out of the house.

So this sunday, this was Yena's getup.. The pretty dress from Tita Kat and that famed havaianas slippers from Tita Clang.. Thank you so much for the gifts two lovely people of the blogniverse! :)
This was her photo with her grandma 'mamato' before she had her tantrums.
We went to the mall with her cousins on the afternoon, and she had a blast with this lavender ride :)
A pose with the Christmas tree with her cousins and my sister whom she calls mama..
Posing right before shooting the balls.. We had fun at the mall playing at the arcades :)

Mommy Moments - Special Trips!

mommy moments

For this friday's theme of mommy moments is all about special trips. I would like to post here our palawan trip but that will be a week from now pa. Sayang. I know that will be a very special trip for yena because it will be her first time to ride an airplane. But anyways, here's my pick for my MM special trip.
Taken March 2008, when yena was just 2 months old. Husband and I brought her to my work to meet my office mates. It was yena's first ever gala ;)That's yena with my previous manager. She is so little! :) I miss her baby smell. Now she stinks like the worst sweat ever, but i love it! :)

Weekend at Manila

We spent our sunday at manila, to the apartment where husband and i stayed when i was pregnant with Yena. We went back there with Ghie to visit kat and her brother who are staying there for 2 weeks. My plan to go to divisoria with them didn't pushed through, but am glad to conclude that the two single ladies bond while shopping :)

Yena met for the first time her playmate pipay, the daughter of her ninang arlyn. I was quiet ashamed of my daughter's behavior, especially when all she replies every time we talk to her was AYAW. :(

Yena poses with her ninang daryl and ninang arlyn, with pipay

ps:
i wasn't able to take pictures of me, kat and ghie. sigh.

Music and Yena

mommy moments

As much as i want to post a recorded song of my daughter singing bahay kubo or barney songs that seems close to impossible. These past few days all i can hear from her every time i ask her to count or sing is a loud AYAW (no.

I hope this picture of her and her lavender microphone will do. It's my share for Mommy Momments Music and Me theme..
