Mommy Moments - Bonding Time

mommy moments

Weekend for us is 'Yena Time'. As much as possible we want to spend this two precious day with her to bond and play. I specially love saturday mornings coz it means laughter, giggles and pillow fights and bites! :)
This pictures were taken when Yena was 9 months old. At that time she knew already how to pose in front of the camera.. Picture taking is also our bonding time.
We usually spend the mornings with a little pillow fights, she used to love it.. She would laugh hard when daddy fells on the bed..
We usually go to the mall on saturdays after our bonding at home. On sunday mornings our bonding time is at the church. And oh well, just being together everywhere is our bonding time!
It's a joy every friday! yey! Join us at Mommy Moments!! ;)

Escalators and Yena

We spent our saturday at the mall lafter yena's pedia checkup. One thing i noticed was yena's love of riding or just standing up at the escalator..
She enjoys the going up or downs while she is standing! :) She doesnt want anybody holding her.. Foolish girl!

She looks excited when it's the end of the ride.. she would smile after each journey up or down!

She would walk back at the escalator right after the last step.. Hubby had no choice but to carry her - And it would mean a wail inside the mall!

Mommy Moments - Feeding Time

mommy moments

I started giving Cerelac to Yena when she was just 4 months old. My inlaws told me to, since she wanted to try everything on the table.. She loved cerelac's wheat and banana and chocolate (though this was given to her on her 11th month!) She is a voracious eater until now and i hope she wont change until she gets conscious of her figure, hahah

This is the way she eats her crackers. My husband said she got it from me! Well, my officemate caught me holding my cracker unintentionally like that, and its confirmed! She got that from me! :)

Told you so she loves chocolates, this is her picture right after eating chocolate cake! :) But after her atopic dermatitis, she has to pass eating chocolates that often, poor her. But i can eat her chocolate for her!! :)

This is one rare moment of seeing her holding her bottle, i mean she knows how to hold it but she is soo lazy to do it maybe she knows mom or dad will hold it for her! Hahah.

It is always a joy looking back on the months and digging up pictures of my Yena when she is still a baby.. well she is still my baby, but she is my toddler now. It's joy really to be a mommy! If you are one mommy who loves to share your precious moments join us every friday at Mommy Moments! It's worth your while! See you!

Life is Grand

This time yena should do the talking! :) Photos from last sunday's after mass, Yena's showing her tricks to the family again! :)

I was tagged by my equally cutie and smarty tots baby Sam and my poging 'kinakapatid' baby YL with this life is grand tag that i have to thinkof five grand things i have right now :D Well they are nothing tangible but these for me are the grandest!

1. Life is grand because i have two grannies who take care of me everyday. My mom's mother takes care of me by day and my mamato, my dad's mom look after me at night before my parents come home from work! My grandmothers love me ssso much!2. Life is grand because i have two grandfathers who are most delighted when i show them my newest tricks! They are the most supportive lolos in the whole wide world!

3. Life is grand because i have lots of cousins, aunts and uncles to cheer me up and play with me! I learn new tricks easily by my cousin's constant presence. I am looking forward to more tight bonding with them!
4. Life is grand because i have 30 godparents who loves and adores me very much. Mom and dad were deeply overwhelmed when some of them presented themselves already to be my godparents even when i was still at my mom's tummy! And I have two very loving and caring godparents on the internet whom i am soo looking forward to seeing someday! (Hi Ninang Liz and Ninang Umma!)5. Life is grand because i have a very hardworking parents, who cant resist my charms, who are very proud of my littlest tricks and who are always after my welfare and good future! I know they wanted to be with me everyday, but to make up, they said weekends are just for me! They love me so much and i love them too! :DHere is one very simple rule:
List 5 reasons why I think that Life is Grand and then pass it on to 5 people.

Now am passing this tag to:
Barnett Kids (Dan, Roan, Wrozlie & AJ), Chubskulit Kids (Rylie & EJ), Josh, Tita Beth Kids (Gabby & Sunday) and Chloe!

Atopic Dermatitis on Yena

Got worried last night when we went home and saw Yena's rashes all over her body. I knew from then i would not be reporting for work next day, i was bothered. Yena has a very sensitive skin, i remember her first hospitalization last year was because of rashes too, which we initially thought was measles but her pedia concluded it was viral exanthem. Though her case was nothing serious that time, i stored alnix drops just to be sure that when another allergy come up i would be ready.

This morning, upon seeing her, the pedia asked what did she ate the day after the rashes became visible. It was just porridge my mother told her. The doctor said it might be atopic dermatitis now, another allergy of the skin.

She was still the jolly and energetic toddler that she is, she even showed her many tricks to the delight of her pedia.! But I was told that when she got fever and was not as cheerful that she was this morning we have to bring her back for another examination.

I was prescribed another alnix drops and caladryl lotion for her skin. The sad thing was there are lots of food to stay away from. She is a voracious eater and i love seeing her eat that way.. But these scores of foods that she has to avoid are some of her favorites :(

Foods to avoid for skin allergy to name a few are:

red meat of chicken (thigh, neck, wings)
eggs / poultry products
watermelon, ripe mango and melon (is it honeydew in english?)
chocolates
peanuts and peanut butter

Mommy Moments - Preggy Days

mommy moments

Since i conceived Yena after two depressions, i didn't knew about my pregnancy until i was almost three months on the way. Recalling the second month of my pregnancy; I fell from our stairs, i run after my father's hospitalization and i was almost about to join the cheerleading competition, team building in batangas and intramurals in our company! After two depressions of really wanting to have a baby and unintentionally doing all those stuffs, am glad God still gave me my Yena!

4 months pregnant at Sisters of Mary School Silang - August 2007

As soon as i learned i was pregnant, hubby spoiled me all the more. I craved for chocolates on the first trimester, watermelon shake on the second trimester and lots of anmum chocolate milk on the last trimester. I had morning sickness and throwing up days on the first trimester too and it was tough and toughest to hubby (my nurse!). Not to mention i have been ultra mega to the highest level sensitive all the more, irritable and throwing fits then and there hahah. That was because i knew hubby would always understand. I had a very happy 9 months because i was being cared for and loved back all the more by husband! :)

7 months pregnant at tagaytay - October 2007

I was heavy on our company's 2007 Christmas Party! I gained 28 lbs my normal weight but i was still on the go, hubby and i had our morning rituals of exercising and dieting on the 8th month just so (as he prayed, i should have a normal delivery - so we could have a minimum of 5 kids!) BUT i had C-Section after 8 hours of labor, so hubby told me he should be contented on maximum of 3 children! hahah.

8 months pregnant at work - December 2007

It was the only prenatal checkup morning of January 15, 2008 that i let husband not to go with me on my OB, since we thought it would just be another Internal Examination moments! We knew all along my due date was February 2, and was told the baby would come out anytime late january! BUT the OB ordered that i should be admitted because i was already 4cm ready, hubby had to hurry back home, my inlaws brought my stuff at the hospital while i was faking to be brave just because i was all alone. :)

I'd like to know about your mommy moments and preggy days too!! Please join us at Mommy Moments. I shall see you! :)

Yena's Performance Night

Last night was Yena's rare moment of presenting her tricks. She do her tricks all the time but when she sees someone capturing it on cellphone she would stop or crawl away. Hubby told me it was the midway of her performance, but am glad i captured it using my cousin's cellphone. We noticed that she loves to perform when there are lots of people around, funny thing was last night the house of my aunt in law's was crowded, she just loves to entertain them all and hear all the laughs..

Forgive the blurry video, i just wanted to share her exercising moments, dyosa and chikading tricks in here.

Enjoy! :)
